Ruru Madrid revealed that Piolo Pascual is his godfather or “ninong.”

On Tuesday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the Kapuso Action-Drama Prince said Piolo and his dad are close friends.

“My dad and si [Piolo], talagang magkaibigan po sila, so parang [sinabihan siya ng Dad ko na] ‘oh, inaanak mo ‘yung anak ko ah’,” Ruru said.

Ruru also recalled a time when he saw Piolo and his son Iñigo at an event and the “ninong” topic was brought up.

“Si Iñigo, sabi niya, ‘Bro alam mo ba na inaanak ka ni papa?’ Sabi ko, ‘Oo bro alam mo, ever since alam ko ‘yan’,” Ruru said.

“Tapos parang natuwa ako na alam [‘yun] ni Mr. Piolo Pascual,” he added.

Ruru is set to star in the GMA Public Affairs series “Black Rider” with Yassi Pressman as his leading lady.

They also have an upcoming film, “Video City,” which will hit the cinemas starting on Wednesday.
