• Halos hindi na makilala ang biktima na sinunog pa ang katawan bago tuluyang iwanan
• Ayon sa imbestigasyon ng mga awtoridad na ibinalita sa ONE Balita Pilipinas, June 25 nang magpunta sa Barangay Poblacion ang biktima para mag-remit ng pera

Sa mga oras na iyon, angkas niya sa motor ang isang kaibigan na ibinaba niya umano sa isang banko.

“Di niya alam kung saan pumunta, pero nandito lang daw sa Poblacion, nag-ikot- ikot, may [mga] pinagbibili. After that, umuwi silang dalawa, pagdating nila sa Barangay, bumaba na ‘yung kasama niya, ‘yung mga pinamili niya…” said PSSG FLORIAN JUMAWAN, IOC, CATAINGAN MPS. “…iniwan lang naman din, nagmamadali raw na bumalik dito sa Poblacion.”

Dumulog sa tanggapan ng mga awtoridad ang pamilya ni Carol para humingi ng tulong sa paghahanap sa kanya.

June 27, nang makauwi ang asawa ni Carol mula sa Maynila, subalit wala pa rin si Carol.

Umaga ng June 28, isang residente ang dumulog sa mga awtoridad para i-report ang isang masangsang na amoy.

At duon na nga nila nadiskubre ang kalunos-lunos na kalagayan ng bangkay ni Carol.

Ayon sa mga awtoridad, mayroon na umano silang ‘person of interest.’

“According sa doktor may stab wound sa dibdib, isa lang, sa ngayon po hindi po tayo makakapagsabi kung hinalay ba siya kasi hindi pa na-autopsy ‘yung body niya,” PSSG Jumawan added.
