Piolo Pascual Takes on a Politician Role in New Series “Pamilya Sagrado”

Coming up this June, the Piolo Pascual starrer Pamilya Sagrado, a Dreamscape Entertainment-produced action-thriller series, is set to take over our screens with some of the biggest stars of Philippine showbiz.
Piolo, who recently won Best Actor at the FAMAS Awards 2024 for his notable performance in the Metro Manila Film Festival horror entry Mallari, is taking on the upcoming show alongside Tirso Cruz III, Joel Torre, John Arcilla, Shaina Magdayao, Kyle Echarri, Grae Fernandez, Aiko Melendez, Mylene Dizon, and Rosanna Roces.
Directed by Lawrence Fajardo and Andoy Ranay, Pamilya Sagrado will start airing on June 17 from Monday to Friday at 8:45 PM on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, Jeepney TV, and TV 5.
In a trailer recently released by ABS-CBN Entertainment, it was shown that Piolo is embodying the role of a public official, Governor Rafael Sagrado. His family, which hails from a line of politicians, has also buried some secrets to the ground.
Kyle Echarri, meanwhile, is aboard the story as a forthcoming college student who found himself caught up in a rather inescapable situation. He, too, joined a university fraternity, which earned him troubles and enemies along the way.
In a recent Pamilya Sagrado blogcon, ABS-CBN COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, congratulated Piolo for his new Kapamilya project. “Congratulations, you made an excellent pilot,” she said, having watched the first episode ahead of its airing.
The network executive thanked Piolo as well for mentoring his co-stars Kyle and Grae and helping them sharpen their skills as an actor: “Thank you very much for the years you have been Kapamilya. You have been so supportive. And thank you for unselfishly mentoring them.”
