Actor Piolo Pascual has revealed that he battled with depression in the past during the digital conference of his new movie “Last Night.”

When asked if he has experienced depression in life, Piolo answered in the affirmative.

“Wala kang choice. Habang humihinga ka, kailangang bigyan mo ang sarili mo ng reason kung bakit kailangang mabuhay.

“Siguro when you’re pushed off the edge, iisipin mo talaga what really matters in your life.”

He also shared how he overcame his depression.

“Kailangan mo lang talaga makahanap ng magandang rason kung bakit gusto mong mabuhay.

“Yun nga, maraming bagay sa mundo na puwede nating pagkapitan, pero kailangan may hope ka, kailangan positive ka. Otherwise, you’re going downward spiral.

“You know, kung depressed ka na, desperado ka or you live in a dark moment, you have to pick yourself up and you have to get out of that pen for you to become willing to live again.”
