Showbiz personalities Piolo Pascual and JM De Guzman on Tuesday joined government officials when the latter presented statistics as regards the Duterte administration’s war on drugs.

The #RealNumbersPH is the government’s unitary report on the anti-drug campaign, which was launched on May 2 last year.

Police Community Relations Group deputy director Senior Superintendent Bartolome Bustamante said that the two actors were invited as they were advocates of the drug campaign of the government.

“[The] showbiz personalities are advocates of the program, they support the campaign against illegal drugs,” Bustamante said.

The forum which was held at the Multi-Purpose Center in Camp Crame, Quezon City was graced by Presidential Harry Roque and Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar.

Customs commissioner Isidro Lapeña, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency spokesperson Derrick Carreon, Philippine National Police deputy chief for administration Deputy Director General Ramon Apolinario, and National Capital Region Police Office Director Camilo Pancratius Cascolan were also present during the event.

Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson and Interior Assistant Secretary RJ Echiverri, meanwhile, were the designated hosts.

Pascual during the event entertained the officials and other stakeholders with the song “Even The Nights Are Better” by Air Supply.

De Guzman, who had earlier admitted that he succumbed to drug use, was supposed to give his testimonial but it did not push through. But the actor instead entertained the audience as he performed “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls and “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran.
