Anjo Yllana revealed he and Queen of All Media Kris Aquino had a three-week relationship when they were young, saying they broke it off after he learned she had other “boyfriends” at the time.

The actor made the revelation during his interview with fellow actor Snooky Serna, as seen on the latter’s YouTube channel last June 20.

Aquino was brought up in the conversation after her name was picked by Yllana during the “Pick a Name” portion of the interview.

“I have never talked about this. We had one or two movies then we became a couple for a while,” Yllana began.

Before continuing his statement, Yllana greeted Aquino, saying she is his “kumare” as he is one of her son Josh’s godfathers.

“We were together for about three weeks. We broke up because when I visited her one time—I was bringing flowers which came from Baguio—I noticed that she already had long-stemmed roses,” he recalled.

“I asked her where it came from then she said, ‘Oh, it was from Robin,’” Yllana continued, referring to actor-turned-senator Robin Padilla whom Aquino apparently regarded as her boyfriend.

Taken aback by Aquino’s answer, Yllana clarified with the actress their relationship and was supposedly informed that he, Padilla as well as their fellow actor Aga Muhlach were her boyfriends at the time.

Laughing off the matter, Yllana recounted, “I was so shocked so I told her, ‘You’re crazy. Let’s break this off and just be friends.’”

Yllana then said that he and Aquino became best of friends after their breakup. He further disclosed that he was by her side, advising her when her family was against her then-boyfriend Phillip Salvador, Josh’s father.

“I was telling her, ‘Your family will not accept Kuya Ipe (Salvador) because he’s a separated man. But your mom and your siblings will surely accept your child,’” Yllana recalled.

However, Yllana noted that his friendship with Aquino changed after he sided with his close friend, actor Joey Marquez, in his controversial feud with the actress.

Despite this, Yllana sent his well-wishes for her amid her current battle with her autoimmune diseases.
